“I am Barbara and live in Oklahoma with my husband and son. My husband and I have been together for 10 years. He is the love of my life and I feel blessed to have him in my life.We have this truly amazing little boy.
I work for a company out of the Fort Smith area and it is shutting down. I traveled to Michigan on business to train someone else to do what I do. I was gone for about a week. I called my husband to let him know I would be a little late, but to make sure to have our son waiting at the airport for me. I couldn’t wait to see them. I got off the plane and headed down the aisle to see them. I spotted my husband first but wasn’t close enough to see my son yet. Once I got closer I could see my son holding something and then I read it…
I just looked at my husband with a big grin and rolled my eyes at him. My son then dropped the sign and gave me a big hug and kiss. I later learned it was a last-minute idea. He searched online to find some funny signs and decided to go with the ‘welcome home from prison mom.’ He didn’t tell my son what it said but had him hold it. Our son is only 4 so of course he can’t read it yet.
I posted it later and my friend Jessica thought it was the funniest thing and asked to share it. And what we thought would get a few laughs and shares ended up getting over 140,000 shares!”
