“We are so lucky to have a human like Terry. Terry just came along one day and introduced himself. He said he’d like to brush cats. Many of our babies come from animal cruelty cases, and neglect situations. Our mission is to rescue cats that have special needs, that would be at risk for euthanasia elsewhere. Connection like this are so special for them. Their humans – Like Terry – make a world of difference.
Eventually it became every day. He brushes all of the cats and can tell you about all of their likes and dislikes.
To him it’s a good experience for HIM, it’s very pleasurable, he loves to pet cats. He said, ‘You can do better therapy for the cats here, because they aren’t in cages. I love to help them get adopted, even though it’s hard when they go.’
He also accidentally falls asleep most days. Terry says not on purpose! We don’t mind – Cats need this! Terry is a wonderful volunteer.”
