They have been robbed of their joy and excitement, but also of their worry.

They should have been worrying about morning sickness, which crib to buy, and what to name their precious little.

They should have been stocking up on diapers and miniature clothing, not toilet paper and hand sanitizer.

Not to mention, pregnancy hormones are added into the mix!

And for those of who are gearing up to be first-time moms,

I can only imagine what parenting nerves and jitters paired with a national pandemic feels like.

With hospitals filling up left and right, what does this mean for our pregnant women?

Will there be space in hospitals for their births as the virus continues to spread? What about their families?

And what does the rampant spread of the virus mean for their health, but also that of their child?

They say the virus poses the least risk to babies, but if you know any mother, or have been a mother yourself, you know that the worrying will never end.

During these trying times, let’s keep reaching out to those most affected by this virus: the elderly and the immunocompromised.

But let’s not forget about our pregnant friends, too.
