The princess gets the prince, the girl gets the guy, the movie ends with a “Happily Ever After.” But what if we could catch a glimpse at what that happily ever after looked like? One artist attempts to continue the fairytale, blessing her Instagram followers with a timeline of adorable pictures of princesses post their fairytale “ending.”
This Russian artist, Oksana Pashchenko, a huge Disney fan herself, has created magical artwork reimagining some of our favorite Disney princesses and their princes as modern-day parents. She began her Disney drawing hobby as a child, trying to copy the characters from the movies her parents bought her, and cites Ariel and Aurora as her favorites.
As she grew, so did her love for these Disney icons. While commissions are currently closed, she’s turned many family portraits into Disney masterpieces for other avid Disney fans. Frequently posting Disney artwork on her Instagram account, the more recent pictures of the imagined Disney parents have to be some of her more popular pieces.
Inspired by her own pregnancy journey, Oksana used her maternity leave to begin illustrating these Disney legends in some of the most magical and relatable of all circumstances. Their maternity bumps, dad bods, and baby costumes are beyond cute.
Have a look at our 25 favorites and rekindle the magical memories of both childhood Disney movies and these precious parenting milestones of your own.
