“You don’t have to keep up, sis.
That new car they just got.
The house they built.
The pool they put in.
The trip they went on.
I refuse to let someone else’s highlight reel persuade me into thinking I need to do more, be more, achieve more, sell more, make more, or consume more. Comparison will steal your joy in an instant. If. You. Let. It.
Sis is me. I am Sis.
I’ve been so distracted lately by the success of others that I’ve taken my eyes off my own.
So instead of falling deeper into the comparison trap, I will choose to celebrate what God has given them and focus on leveraging what He has given me.
If this year has taught me anything, it’s to choose to live a simple, beautiful life.
And to channel that energy into loving more, giving more, being more patient, more understanding, and giving others a lot more grace.
You have enough. You are enough.
And when you love what you have, you have everything you need.
So, here I am, pictured with my 11-year-old SUV with 148k miles and still going strong. Dave Ramsey would be so proud.”
