“I don’t know who else needs to hear this, but it’s okay if you signed your kid out of virtual class early today.
They wouldn’t engage. You ran out of bribes. You didn’t want to physically drag your child back to their chair crying.
So you ended the call.
You’re not a bad mom. Your kid isn’t a bad kid.
Some days this less than ideal situation is less than less than ideal and you’ve got to do what’s best for your child.
It’s okay if you don’t ‘got this.’ It’s okay if some days you don’t even want it.
We’re all posting and looking at pictures of home learning successes but I promise no one is killing this 24/7. So don’t let it make you feel bad.
I see your shoulder in the thumbnail supporting your child and I’m sure you can see mine.
On the outside I don’t look very successful, but on the inside I know I’m doing my best to help my child.
As long as you’re doing the same, you’ve got everything.”
