Bride Left Empty Chair To Honor Late Son; Groom Stops Vows To Introduce Guest Who Took The Seat

More Stories like:

In October 2015, Becky Turney‘s 19-year-old son Triston passed away in an accidental shooting. Her life was forever changed. And in the effort to keep his memory alive, Becky had Tristan’s organs donated to five different people, helping to save their lives in turn.

Two years later, Becky got married to Kelly, the love of her life. She knew she wanted Triston to be a part of their special day, so she made sure to honor him in as many ways as she could. For example, her bouquet was adorned with his photos, and she also left one of the guest’s chairs empty in his memory.

But what Becky didn’t know was that Kelly had been keeping a secret about their wedding plans. In the middle of the ceremony, Kelly brought things to an unexpected pause as she walked down the aisle. Needless to say, she was so confused.

Kelly addressed everyone in attendance and began talking about Triston. He described Becky’s unwavering love for her son and how his death was not in vein; his organs helped so many people.

Then came time for the huge surprise to be revealed. Kelly had his bride turn to look at that chair that she’d reserved for Triston — only it wasn’t empty anymore. Sitting there was someone whom Beckey had never met before, but someone with who she shared a deep-rooted connection that will last a lifetime. Her reaction makes it even more perfect.
